Our first project with Tameside school Ravensfield Primary School saw a combination of new branding, photography, and bespoke primary school website come together as one. The school had an extremely outdated primary school website, which was difficult to use and navigate. Even for staff who were familiar with the site it was a struggle to find what they needed. Therefore, it needed a complete re-structure to make content easier to find. The school logo was as outdated as the website and as a modern school with forward thinking ideas, they wanted a brand that would reflect this.
We analyzed the content from the old website and planned the structure for the new one to reduce the 68 pages on the previous site to a more streamlined 23 pages. Where all the information would be easy to find in the simple main menu, with clear page names. The content for the new website was evaluated against Ofsted’s requirements and any gaps filled ready for go live. We fully populated the site for the school, transferring any content which needed to be kept from the old site and adding any new information, to make putting the new site live as easy as possible for the school. The new website and photography helped showcase the school to prospective parents. The new website is fully responsive to optimise it for viewing on devices big as well as small from desktop computers to tablets and mobiles.
Ravensifeld Primary School also chose to incorporate our Governors portal into their new website. The Governors portal enables the school to easily manage and record all Governor communications. The Governors portal incorporate a messaging system, minutes and agenda storage as well as recommended reading. As part of the redesign we also refreshed the logo. The logo incorporates a contained ‘R’ within a raven, perched on a book. Reflecting the original historic logo but with a modern twist. The grey and orange colour palette creates a modern and dynamic look.
