A creative approach to Multi Academy Trust branding design for Oak Learning Partnership. Trigger put together a comprehensive proposal to evolve the branding and revamp the marketing. The key to the project was creating a branding design which would work throughout the Trust. Firstly, we created designs for a ‘family’ of logos for the whole Trust. Then we developed a distinctive ‘house style’ for all marketing communications. We adapted each school logo so they all used the same typeface, layout and circular holding device. However, we maintained the individual school colours and unique iconography. The idea was to provide a sense of ‘belonging’, whilst enhancing the unique identities. We updated the overarching Trust logo with the same typeface but it was clearly set-apart from the school logos. As a result, the Trust now has a striking, but professional identity. We also created a full suite of marketing materials. For example, Word and PowerPoint templates the staff could use. As well as bespoke documents such as recruitment packs and the school improvement documentation. In addition, we revamped the Trust and school websites to bring them in line with the house style. Adding a cohesive fresh look to each site was the finishing touch which brought everything together.
