After being recommended by another of our schools, we were asked to create themed primary school wall graphics throughout Moorside Primary Academy in Droylsden. Following our initial survey of all the walls, the school wanted to cover with wall graphics, we spoke through the project with the head teacher. Trigger were then tasked with creating a design for the wall art that would brighten the space and give the pupils a sense of pride in their school. Hoping the wall graphics will also fire their imaginations too!
The scope of the project was huge. Encompassing the whole school with many varied themes throughout. The main hall displaying the school’s values. One staircase taking the children on a journey through different countries. A second staircase with a history timeline winding it’s way up. Imaginative reading corners. An intriguing library, and numerous inspirational quotes. All linked by having the school’s colours running through them to create an all round recognisable theme. The initial designs were talked through with the school and then refined. Final artwork was then completed ready for print and installation. The installation was completed after school hours over a week just before the Christmas holidays.
The finished effect was transformational. As a result, the school walls now looks bright, fun and exciting. The school is a wonderful place for the pupils to be engaged with their environment and inspired to learn and achieve.
